Kill Bill & Rav - KEEP THE CHANGE!
80

first listen impressions: exo duo rav and kill bill create an industrial hip hop album reminiscent of a lot of injury reserve and bill's earlier work in snowglobe theory. cohesion is impressive and each songs is hard hitting banger after banger with barely any sense of rest or finallisimo until you hear the final track. hardcore brockhampton is very evident in a lot of songs and i might draw a conclusion that it became one of their influences.

Shiro SAGISU - Neon Genesis Evangelion (Original Series Soundtrack)
100

can't say i blame people for being obsessed with evangelion, while obviously there are a lot more anime that i enjoy i can't really say that any have the ability to tell a deep and meaningful story such as evangelion. accompanying most of the action sequences are some great and booming music while the more slice of life stuff get thrown in with more calming jazz and or classical. my personal favorite is sagisu's rendition of fly me to the moon with beautiful violins and vocals. while my ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us

kendrick taking the scenic route and stooping to drake's level of low with his more trap beats and quirky bars. TRYNA STRIKE A CHORD BUT ITS PROBABLY A MINOR 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

Kendrick Lamar - meet the grahams
100

if eminem's "killshot" dug mgk's grave and made him switch genres. this would disembowel drake's music and put every single inch of his soul on a stake while being burned and red bible verses. a complete and utter breakdown and masterminded by beautiful music and poetry, completed with even more shocking accusations and allegations which all but prove kendrick's earlier disses. no matter if its true or not, "meet the grahams" might be the uttermost diss track of all time

目黒将司 [Shoji Meguro] - PERSONA 3 RELOAD - Original Soundtrack
100

played a lot of reload while i was binging persona lore and nge/eoe, without a doubt possibly one of the most timeless pieces of art that any artist could and would ever make. it's out there with a lot of my favorite video game soundtracks like silent hill, persona in general, hades, omori, yume nikki, resident evil and minecraft. i can't nerd out even more about the composition and especially the choices with a lot of their production and mixing but i can definitely say that while i have a ... read more

Various Artists - Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
80

while i'm not fond of "inspired by the movie" soundtracks that were an absolutely shitty trend from the early 2000s-2010s i can appreciate them actually making the songs relate to the movie, especially with SPVTW. i loved the really freaky song by frank black, beck's awful but charming song 'ramona' and the main band sex bob-omb's take on the strokes especially on the new anime soundtrack.

exociety - SHIFT!
90

i can't seem to hate this group, even with it's stupid drama and recent departure of essential member airospace. the 3 remaining members took drastic measures and decide to invite some old and new friends in with the release of this album. no1mportant, reckahdam, love-sadkid and meltycanon prove themselves as able to transform the energy from exociety's previous albums and melt all of it into a melodic rap style album littered with good beats, sweet singing and nice lyrics.

Jay & The Americans - Come a Little Bit Closer
100

and i knew yes i knew, knew this was timeless. come a little bit closer, i'm all alone. and the night is too long

TV Girl - Lovers Rock
100

unrequited love feels bad doesn't it? no. what's worse is not knowing you each have feelings for each other, and only finding out when your lives branch off into new experiences and places, and that shit fucking hurts man

Portishead - Portishead
100

took everything from dummy and made it darker and grittier. only you is to sacrifice yourself for because of beth's angelic vocals. 10/10

Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane
80

this was a time before the boring instrumentals and generic singing from maroon 5 and specifically adam levine. songs about jane is a tribute to levine's ex girlfriend in the form of pretty pop songs with what could be maroon 5's best work. while some may argue half of the songs feel lifeless. i'll show them sunday morning, this love and she will be loved, see how it'll change their minds immediately.

Angelo Badalamenti - Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack)
100

in a world of non-sensical christian angels and satanic gods. with little men dancing and frolicking in lines and red curtains. we get angelo at his best, maybe even his most euphoric and otherworldly. think of coltrane's ascension, if there were less horns and the same amount of free jazz with the coating of dark and sinister ambience and we get fire walk with me. hated upon release and one of lynch's most statistically worst performing films it gave us more twin peaks, and that's all i fuckin ... read more

Billy Idol - Rebel Yell

his outfit screams "ahhh fuck the government #freeobama" but he makes some great music ngl, eyes without a face best track obv for obvious reasons so yeah. rebel yell is great there too, a lot of lost love for mr idol and i kinda feel bad for him. 8/10

exociety - deception falls
100

if people could only listen to one group of rap artists for all of their lifetime, they'd pick the most objective of answers. groups like wu-tang, ofwgkta, brockhampton and other bands. but if i was given a chance i'd pick exo, individually they're all great producers and rappers but combined, they make some if my favorite works of all time. deception falls feels like a vintage walk through the park in the summer. exo aren't afraid to experiment with sounds and samples which their previous ... read more

Little Simz - NO THANK YOU
80

in short, simzy releases a sequel to her grandiose and opera perfect album sometimes i might be introvert. and she definitely adapts her writing to the more simplified and sophisticated production and beats at show, does she do great? of fucking course.

山岡晃 [Akira Yamaoka] - Silent Hill (Original Soundtracks)
93

already put a rating here so you probaly know my thoughts on it, in the words of my dear friend K issa classic :) , the only true way of experiencing the soundtrack is to play the game and go through every area with it's haunting or mystical noise and sounds with a fine tooth comb. but nobody who isn't a hardcore fan is going to waste a couple thousand dollars to play this game so just enjoy the soundtrack on youtube or soundcloud where most fans enjoy the soundtrack there. in short i love this ... read more

"@noface, been seriously searching all corners of the globe for the cd and it's definitely much easier finding someone who listens to drone than getting this album on cd @windy, i can't begin to describe how much your support means to me! i feel this album has always been on repeat after my first listen because of how damn relatable it is, also bill having a very unique style that very much suits my personality"

On exception's review of Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
"Sometime as an artist art comes at u fast, and i believe he made this album like a mixtape n the process hearing the random shoutouts the album display by the dj. Thats what i think he was going for. Its supposed to b straight n your face. He made it commercial like a typical mainstream album while keeping the weirdness in ratchet in the music. He also dumb down the lyrics to put his message straight forward with the listener we he goes into his religious beliefs, and frustrations, and questions"

On Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters
"Of course, in my opinion I interpreted that song as Fiona Apple's story regarding well you know what, the deeper meaning about the song is definitely a lot more dark and morbid. It's regarding how r*pe victims are usually never noticed and given a fuck to by society, in regards to what happened they have to stand their ground and speak loudly to call the criminal out. Definitely up for interpretation but still one of my favorites."
On Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Piñata
"he's been my favorite ever since i've listened to pinata. definitely one of my favourite rappers"
