This is like Primus if they were Tool and made a silly rainbow goblin concept album. I really like when Primus does more progressive rock stuff and this album is a good representation of them doing exactly that. Though it’s not perfect, it’s still something and definitely does a better job at establishing good tracks alongside the concept, unlike the silly Oompa Loompa album a couple years back.

Yeah honestly, this doesn’t have an appeal to anyone. Only Primus would cover Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, but it’s too strange and clearly something that is just for fun and not to be taken as an actual record, though it is a studio album. If I had to even analyze each track individually, every oompa track sounds the exact same and doesn’t seem to benefit the album. This is pretty refreshing for Primus considering their long ass hiatus, but there’s still some personal issues I have with the album: some of the voices and vocal effects; there is also some filler like green ranger. Other than that’s Jilly’s On Smack smacks with that upright bass.

Antipop slaps and is overcriticized. Uncle Sam, Drowing Man, Lacquer Head? All bangers. There’s some weird tracks on here that could easily be slept on but this is a step up from Brown Album. Also Chocolate Star Fish silly man is a producer, wtf is a bad song 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️‼️‼️‼️🔥‼️🗣️🗣️🔥
