Mend feels like a step down from Eviscerate and The Architect; there are less outwardly memorable tracks than pretty much every Eidola album bar The Great Glass Elephant, and it feels as if songs start building to something and then end. While the band definitely set high expectations coming off of a strong 2024 with Eviscerate and the release of The Faustian Spirit, the track seemed to be the exception rather than the rule here, being a very strong track on an otherwise middle of the road ... read more
