EIDOLA have definitely put their money where their collective mouth is, Mend showcases a broad spectrum of musicality and creativity which will require multiple listens to unpack.

Mend sees Eidola experimenting with a more poppier sound, adding more outer influences to their swancore formula. It adds a somewhat refreshing edge to their sound, but it can also get predictable and uninteresting at points. This is one of their weakest releases yet, but it's still a good album if you already were a fan of them.
Sometimes it is groovy, other times it is infectious but mostly; it is boring. This album feels very sterile and devoid of creativity as it seems to mostly coast through its runtime. The instrumentation is sometimes chaotic on top of good cleans. Songs seem to end or change up on you when it's at its peak and then fully resets on the next song. I thought it would've been rewarding as I was trying to be patient with it but maybe it's not for me.
Inconsistent but it was ok as a background music. Guitar parts are as good as always.
Recommended tracks: Prodigy, The Faustian Spirit, Godhead: The Final Temple
After I am giving to hear this project thrice times, the band might hurt to change some dynamic genre and very bad on their production.
