Pinned Review

Crypsis - God Has Left Us

Unironically one of the best albums I've listened to this year.

I suppose I have a slight bias as I know the drummer. However, taking this into account we have a perfect cross section of heavy metal influences here that ranges from old school Thrash, Sludge, Industrial and even Prog.

It's very easy to just stay in one genre or sound and loads of artists do this nowadays. For example I recently listened to Warfield's With The Old Breed and that album, albeit good, was so set ... read more

Banging album, even tho the lyrics are retarded. Listened to with donny1.

Very quite good.... but also very quite safe.

I really love the parts of this album where they go full MBV, that aggressive wall of sound is very typical of nothing and where the album shines the most. I was not much I to the quiet parts of the album which is like 50% of it; 2nd half of the album is quite weak in comparison. Feels like im listening to Radio head or something.

Beyond this, these guys know how to write and keep you gripped for the entire length of the album.

Overall 75/100 - ... read more

Really really good Groove Metal here. Dimebag at his creative best. This band was 100% gonna be the next big thing in metal and i despise how some selfish asshole killed him because he left Pantera.

This album is alot of gun and has a ton of crowd pleasers.... was meant to be heard live for sure. My faves on here are New Found Power and Save Me. Man I love Save Me; It's got that Groove + Nu Metal vibe but with some seriously amazing ambience to it.

I did find 14 songs a bit too much for ... read more

Firstly I wanna say that Wierd Fish and jigsaw falling into place are the highlights on this album. Near perfect songs in my humble opinion.

Didn't know what to expect coming into this. It took me years to listen to OK Computer, which I loved, so In Rainbows... well I had alot of expectation.... which for the most part it exceeded. Like. There never would be a OK Computer 2... to follow something like that up, the beat would need to be different. This album from start to finish blends ... read more

About

At 100 follows I'll listen to more Jane Remover...... (I really don't want too but I will).

34m guitarist based in UK. SEND ME RECS!!!!

Metal fan primarily but I really like to sample all music from all over the place.

I won't do full track list ratings often as most of the time the vibe of an album/EP is greater than the sum of its parts.

In library is for music I have on my server. Fuck Spotify
