my favorite project from him so far, black is beautiful and narcissist lost me a bit because i felt like it was overtly focused on creating an atmosphere or specific motive or storyline but this does a great job at creating atmosphere and making some great songs
Not much direction whatsoever and kind of falls apart in the latter half, especially when it comes to his rapping. Believe everybody when people say the triplet flow is THE flow on almost every single song. Lacks the atmosphere that the production created in his debut but this is still a fun album. Not really any low points whatsoever but nothing that caught my ear as much as his debut did. I feel like this album has the scope (and retention) but lacks that creativity that fakemink brought to cloud rap in his first project. Kinda wished there was more to this, it feels like a somewhat awkward post cold visions transition but it’s still a decently fun album. Probably his second weakest solo album of the decade but mane I fw bladee so much I can’t say I dont enjoy this experience. I especially like the calmer tracks just bc bladee been so angry lately
This is so tough because I love so many of these songs but as a complete package it’s hard to immediately say it’s album of the year. But when I got back to dariacore 2 like yes oh my god every song at once back to back to back. I love this in pieces and I may be bloating my score because I don’t think it makes for the greatest album experience but it is still so fun.
