peggy will always be a great producer, but the rapping was not that good. We get the same lines about how he's the best, he gets so many women etc etc. The flow stays the same and the misogyny in his lyrics and visuals are more prominent than ever. For an album that was supposed to be him laying claim to the genre, it is his least experimental album, and the only album where he has not progressed in any way.
I love Simz' ability to have fun and experiment with different genres, but I can't say that this EP is among my favorite of her projects. I feel the same about a large majority of her past EPs. Fun to listen to, but messy and not nearly as good as her fully fleshed out studio albums.
This album is so beautiful. Everything about the production is amazing, especially the guitars. The songwriting is really nice as well. The only ctritizism I have is that the song "Oops" does not fit within the tracklist. It just felt like a random pop- RNB song in an album that is mainly singer-songwriter/country.
It just felt kind of rough and unfinished, but i love Earl's and Mike's rapping. I saw a lot of people ctritizsing the production since it has a lot of rage and trap influences, but suprisingly, I like it. I am not the biggest fan of trap or rage, but the beats were nice.
I love how personal this album felt. The lyricism is great, as always with Issaiah's projects, but I wish the production was more intresting.
