Just reviewing bonus tracks here. Overall rating is for the whole album as I felt bad for giving it 63.
Hello Goodbye is genuinely perfect, one of the best songs in the brat saga. I love how it makes you wait for the drop because the drop is worth waiting for. This would've worked on the album as it feels like a companion to Talk Talk. Lovely trancey song. ALSO WHY WAS NO REMIX MADE OF THIS?????????
Guess is nice but just feels empty without Billie Eilish. The verse just gets repeated ... read more
The Brat Remix album is pretty nice!!
Overall some songs work and others don't and others are on par with the originals. I do like the idea of reimagining the various songs on brat and its cool as the tracks on this album range from the original but one verse is different (example: Girl So Confusing) to some songs which bear no similarity to their original counterparts (Club Classics)
On par with their o.g counterparts are 360 ft. Robyn and Yung Lean, Talk Talk ft. Troye Sivan, ... read more
I'm having a mental party right now.
OMG I did not praise this album enough. Every single song on this album is a banger though some are more bangers than others. I love the whole party/rave vibe, the production is fantastic and the songwriting is so genuine and wonderful. I love the energetic vibe and it sounds so good the higher the bass is!!
Though I find 360 slightly overhyped due to it being slightly repetitive in terms of instrumentation, I like the vocals and I find it to be a ... read more
Soundtracks For The Blind - an album that deserves the yappiest review ever. While not my favourite Swans album (that honour goes to The Glowing Man), it is getting the longer review as its tracks are more complex and have more backstories. The album is complex, the songs originate from leftover tapes and solo projects and its runtime makes it difficult yet rewarding to listen to.
We start with Red Velvet Corridor, a three minute drone track that gives us a taste of how the album will be. ... read more
Honestly this exceeded my rather low expectations I had for this album. I had listened to Nuture before this and I didn't really like it but this album is gooood. It sounds way less artificial and good. Though nothing groundbreaking, it's still great and nicely done. Synthpop is cool. The instrumentation is good and the songs actually have a bit of variety. However the album didn't sound as good upon re-listen.

Wow. Simply wow.
Straight away, I need to say that this album is not for the faint hearted. Though shorter than Soundtracks for the Blind, the tracks are on average much longer and progressive. It is probably the most abstract album from Swans I have heard so far. The tracks go hand in hand with one another and it feels like this is a loose concept album.

Ummagumma, the album as weird as its name.
Interesting double album with the first disc being live cuts and the second being a collection of some of the weirdest tracks I've ever heard. Now I'm going to go straight into controversial territory and say this album is nowhere near Pink Floyd's worst and maybe one of their most innovative, ever. But does innovation mean it is a consistent pleasent listen?
The live cuts are live cuts. I'm not the biggest fan of the performance ... read more
This is quite an interesting little album isn't it?
Right of the bat, I'm going to mention how much I like how the opener and closer to this album are vastly different to the other songs on the album. They almost feel like a prolouge and an epilouge to the album and I haven't really heard an album that's pulled something off like this, this well.
The synths in Be Above It are absolute 'chefs kiss'. While this song isn't really like anything else on the ... read more
Lana's sophomore album has its high highs and low lows. The tracks are good but do have their issues and my gripes with these are no different than the gripes of others.
Cruel World opens the album well, its catchy and memorable but did it really have to be that long? Don't get me wrong, I love songs with a bit of a long runtime but here it just seems unnecessary. If the song had been shortened by a minute or two, I would still have the same feelings for it. It is still a really ... read more
Good album but sadly the title track and fat old sun do drag it down slightly due to them being a little forgetable, though I will reiterate, no song on this album is bad by any means.
While at first listen I was quite impressed by the Atom Heart Mother suite, I do find it doesn't really take the ears on a journey as much as other songs of its length (such as Echoes and numerous works by Swans). It is really a mood-dependent listen for me and almost works better as background music due ... read more
Meddle is absolutely spectacular. Would've been a 10/10 but sadly Seamus lets it down but thankfully it is the shortest song on the LP and is followed by one of the greatest songs of all time. The opener One of These Days is absolutely amazing and full of energy, though if I was being picky, I would say the song doesn't really match the more dreamy pacing the rest of the album has. A Pillow of WInds is massively underated and is honestly perfect, the literal definition of an excellent slow, ... read more
