I started listening to more music outside my comfort zone around May of last year. I started with Weezer, passed on to Queen, then The Beatles, then Radiohead, and most recently The Strokes.

I also listened to other albums, projects, and genres throughout this time, when I first heard about The Strokes around January of this year I decided to give this album a go, and welp, I thought it was good. fun, fun, and more fun! (except for all by myself but it's a hidden track so ill give it a pass)

Giving this a relisten made me realize how fucking amazing the entire album is. Every track is unique thanks to DOOM's writing and Madlib's production.

I think the experimentation can carry on for a little too long but I still had a good time. UCoD and Machu Picchu will forever be some of my favorite Strokes songs.

This thing screams 2000's and I love that. Yea there are a couple ok tracks on here but overall I had a good time!

I discovered Initial D on a "transitional period" of my life, it would mark a huge part of said period and to this day i still go back and bop my head to the entire soundtrack that accompanied the series. This is the main compilation i come back to since from my point of view it has everything that makes Eurobeat great. I will always love this and I'll always be thankful for discovering this amazing series.

look, you have 90s alt rock + some of the best songs radiohead has in their entire catalogue on the same album, what's not to love?
