Stash House might be the best song I have ever heard from Mr Gunn.
What a great release. Catchy melodies, introspective writing, clean production, and a strong line up of features really make this a must listen. I can’t understand why everyone (including me) wrote off this album when it came out.
I messed with this album back when it came out, but after seeing what Che is currently capable of? This ain't shit. Something about the mix of this is just grossly over stimulating. I also know Che isn't really known for lyrics but he really just repeats random shit and spits filler ass bars more than ever on here. The saving grace is definitely the production.
I don't know why Benny's albums always suck until I actually go to rate the tracks and relisten. I guess it just doesn't hold up great as an overall body of work. This is actually hard, you just gotta listen.
Ride sucks at rapping, but the production is very interesting. This definitely feels ahead of its time. Overall I’m pretty disappointed though.
Sample is great but everything else about this song feels like a mild step above your average instagram rapper.
Underground music should sound like THIS. Not mfs copying every little trend in a desperate race to stay relevant. People talk about how Che switches it up, but this guy Edward changes his sound from song to song more than Che has in his entire career.
Did Curren$y forgot how to rap recently or has he always been this off beat. Lowkey I feel like I’m going crazy.
Not as good as his other record with Posca but the first and last two tracks are solid.
This is one of the few rappers in this lane to add melodic elements into their rapping and have it not sound too goofy.
The definition of short and sweet. The production is so good Boldy felt the need to include the instrumental tracks on streaming. Some of the most cinematic music I think I’ve ever heard from this lane of music.
The same old Benny project, now with Fuego Base. It feels like that Def Jam record completely put out Benny’s fire and now all we get is lazy slop.
This album is definitely overrated in Peggy's catalog. Sure there are classics on here but there's also a good bit of filler, especially toward the end of the album.
