This is a fucking masterpiece. I have no actual words to describe how much i loved this. JVB created a really beautiful thing here
This album is SO FUCKING GREAT, like, it sounds like a "greatest hits" compilation.
It's amazing, dense, frenetic and full of bangers. An album that's shows clearly in his lyrics what they're talking about, they just throw all those antisystemic lines on your face. fucking dope.
This is a perfect version of what The Strokes were trying to be since First Impressions of Earth. It's a beatiful album, perfecly odd and colorful with a brilliant synths work and a absolutely amazing production by Rick Rubin. the LP takes you in a funny/sentimental/psychodelic experience, all at once. Plus, the LP counts with their best song, which is "Ode to the Mets".
A glorious work, it's raw, energetic and beautiful. Amazing lyrics, instrumentals and everything. A perfect example of what is "The White Stripes"
Almost a brother of "Is This It", The Strokes played safe with this album. As solid as the first one with songs that have the same vibe of Is This It, but more colorful. Everything that a second album should be.
Well, its an album that starts with amazing 4 tracks, but die slowly as you listen to it. With unecessary songs and a almost annoying singing from Julian (as seen in "On the Other Side"), the LP is basically forgettable. Should've been an EP.
Not bad as people say. Full of colors and synths, "Angles" is an album that grows slowly on you. Give it a shot.
