While I miss the more existential themes of Deeper Well, Kacey seems very focused and embodied on this project. Her witty tongue and cheek lyrics are front and centre, without completely sacrificing the more introspective moments that have also become a staple of hers. Middle of nowhere feels very much like a return to form and also a small step forward.

One of her most cohesive and mature projects yet. Just some great dance music.
