The album sounds like a blend of *Geogaddi* and *MHTRTC*. It isn't nearly as dark as others are making it out to be; only the track titles and the cover art are truly dark. A maximally predictable album from the late-era Tori Amos. It is gratifying that there turned out to be fewer outright weak songs than expected—though, conversely, there are no tracks on the level of "Reindeer King."

User reactions to the last three albums clearly demonstrate why critics' opinions matter. The M I 7's ratings are laughably low, yet it definitely deserves at least 70.
To be fair, user ratings are also extremely important in the case of the her "MAYA" album and saved it from a stupid critic's attack.

For some reason, I'm sure tracks like "Roulette Thrift Run" and the middle of "Vengeance Drools" were a fluke. Because he's never done anything like that before or since. It's a shame, because I had high hopes for him in the 2000s.

This is one of his best albums. It has more waltz-like, flowing melodies than usual. Lots of harp and pseudo-guitars. And there are even two vocal songs: one extremely boring "Open" and one really good "Secret.".
