HOTTT album. I´ve been missing new, fresh music from todays artists. Eusexua has been very much awaited and im impressed by the novelty of these songs. Drums of Death is my ultime favorite of course, but i am moving my monkey tail to childlike things and striptease. Some reminiscent sounds from Bjork, Daft Punk etc etc.
SOPHIE: a groundbreaking artist who left an undeniable legacy in the hyper-pop and electronic genre.
OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES is a powerful statement of her identity and creative mind. Surely harsh to listen to the untrained ear, but with such crisp and “un-condensed” sounds, I cannot help but feel such an admiration for her capabilities as a producer and as human that has shattered the glass box of what is perceived correct and incorrect in the musical world.
Rapid and progressive, it’s an album that offers nice sounds for clubbing but also for deep cleansing your house (no I don’t go clubbing, yes I deep clean).
Ever since it came out I have to keep myself from listening it way to many times since it’s SUCH a good song. To put it simply, it’s addictive, eclectic, unique and rich. Thank you mother twigs.
It was a nice listen, but it surely is filled with forgettable songs. The PinkPanteress feature slaps though.
This was such a magical, dreamy and otherworldly experience that put me in such a state of bliss. Props to them, though I always knew they were talented, this excedeed my expectations.
Versatile album? Yes. To me, STFU truly is a highlight. Such a breathtaking metal song introduced in a mostly pop album. Still there are many songs that surely are forgettable to me. But then you have STFU, XS, and Comme des Garçons which surely marked my 2020 in the best way possible.
With its ups and downs, this album overall felt quite enjoyable. I believe their strengths lies within the reggae genre since, at least for me, those were the nicest songs.
For long I’ve been meaning to review this album since it has always stood out to me from the Korean scene. So authentic, energetic and sensual. It’s not just the instrumentals which I love but Yona’s vocals that tie the songs together so well. And I must mention just how incredible of a song My September is.
One of Kraftwerk´s most interesting and experimental albums in my opinion, with a distinct topic which as its name says - Radioactivity. Each song feels very in tune with its concept and they connect really well with each other. The interludes settle the austere atmosphere, proper to what the radioactive disasters might have felt at the time. Maybe my favorite album of theirs, along side Computer World.
Fun very fun, as expected from a collab with Chick Corea. Well Jazz Fusion never fails to amaze me with its intrepid grooves.
At times where I was expecting a certain outcome, I am suddenly astounded by the participation of different instruments that maybe I was not expecting to hear in jazz.
Slipknot's Iowa is a great piece of art, where basically they were so angry all they had to do is scream and kill those guitars and destroy the drums. It's as insane as it gets. There are just a few songs here and there that didn't add much to the album but there are impressive songs that to me remain as one of my favorite songs within the genre. Well at the end of the day they weren't wrong when they said people equal shit..
Well Polynomial-C surely is a strong way of starting an EP. Very dramatic and mathematical if one may say. However the rest of the EP varies strongly from the first song and can definitely be a hard listen. Its surely stays consistent with the Aphex Twin sound and one may or may not like it. To me it was an interesting listen. Personal favorites? Polynomial-C and Phlange Phace. Tamphex and Dodeccaheedron were nice but surely repetitive.
Nice, I mean it hurts nobody. But kind of repetitive, especially within the genre. But again, nice!!
Classic Machine Girl. So fun!! Fast paced, typical hardcore breaks and interesting weird voices and noises.
