Knocked Loose - A Tear in the Fabric of Life
90

This blows 99% of metalcore out the water. They've got a great vocalist, and don't do goofy pop choruses. Probably about the perfect length with how intense this album is.

I'm still a metalcore hater though.

80

The most unique album I've heard in a while

My New Band Believe - My New Band Believe
70

The high points of this album are excellent, namely In The Blink of An Eye and Actress. However this album doesn't really cut above the multitude of similar albums out right now.

Poison Ruïn - Hymns From The Hills
80

Maybe a weird comparison, but gives me Wunderhorse vibes.

Angine de Poitrine - Vol.II
80

These guys feel like the first iteration of a new rock movement. We'll wait and see.

Gives me Sparklehorse vibes

Djent definitely isn't my favourite metal subgenre. That being said, this is pretty solid. Checked this out having only heard Bleed before, and it's probably the only track I'll come back to, but still a cool album

Geese - 4D Country
80

I've not heard this since it came out. Now think it's probably the best thing geese have done

Seether - Disclaimer
75

The lows aren't as low as other Seether albums. And it still has a few actually good post-grunge tracks.

La Dispute - Wildlife
70

As much as I love King Park, that song wraps up La Dispute. They don't offer much more on this album. That song is so intense, that I felt washed out when finishing the rest of the album. Feels like a closer that they put in the middle.

paper hats - D'Artagnan
90

I love how nowadays you can stumble across a random small band, and their songs will have great production.

Portraits of Past - Portraits of Past
80

The last two tracks are really great, as well as Bang Yer Head.

Swans - Filth
45

Surprisingly boring. I'd only heard stay here before, thought the drums sounded pretty unique, then the whole album was the exact same setup. Once you realise it's the the St Anger snare all over again.

shame - Cutthroat
70

Honestly prefer this to their earlier stuff. Way more bite.

75

Hacker and I've seen footage are great, everything else is pretty good / ok. Death Grips definitely have better albums though.

The Cardigans - First Band on the Moon
80

Album to giddily kick your feet to.

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
80

The great thing about missing all these albums is I now get to binge them all at the end of the year

ROSALÍA - LUX
85

I lazily skipped this because it's first tag was pop - the classical is definitely the defining feature of this album though. It simultaneously feels fresh and as old as time

Bleech 9:3 - Ceiling
85

They don't particularly stand out in the current UK indie rock scene, but this is a pretty good single. Would be intrigued to see them live

Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
75

Not my favourite Iron Maiden album by a fair distance. That being said, Hallowed Be Thy Name is my favourite song of theirs.
