The second part of the Sagebrush trilogy perfectly delivers on its expectations. Lonesome Drifter was a great beginning, and Dollar a Day feels like an expanded, and yet higher quality version of the album. Crockett has finally found what he’s best at and continues to deliver on it. Another aspect of the album is his return to themes. He’s not made one since 2022’s The Man from Waco, and he deliver there, as well as on this album.
This album has some impressive hits and blows past all of Cudi’s albums not named Man on the Moon. However, it’s not the most consistent. But with its lack in consistent quality comes a consistent feel, as the album is able to feel fun and unique, as if you’ve left Earth and are a journey somewhere new and exciting.
It’s a high quality release from Crockett, but doesn’t stray away at all from his typical songs.
Extremely well selected for a compilation, and love. may be kid cudi’s best song since 2010
This is AC/DC at their best. The songs are different, but they combine the same elements. It creates a similar feel from song to song, but they don’t overdo the simplicity and repetitiveness
Previously, I praised Kanye for his constant quality, but thought that the albums didn’t have enough hits. He attempts to address it with Graduation. It has more highs than either of the previous, but isn’t consistent. It fits right between the rating of the two
After the home run that the College Dropout was, Kanye follows it up with a very solid album. He continues to follow in his consistency, but loses a little bit of the hits that he had. Still an excellent album for Kanye and rap as a whole
Amazing debut album with consistent quality throughout the album. Not as many highlights as some of Kanye’s other albums, but zero lowlights for the album
This album is Kanye’s most perfect album. He represents himself like never before in the first four albums, but he keeps the quality that those albums had.
AC/DC performs well as an open to their musical career, but a common characteristic of an early band is inconsistency. Jailbreak and Show Business are some of their best works in their entire careers, but the other three songs reach nowhere close to the other two.
The nostalgia steps down a slight bit but this album still holds ups even after 12 years to be the best soundtrack in video games. Overall, not as good as the first, but that’s a comparison similar to LeBron and Jordan. Both are still the best at what they do.
Nothing much to say. This album can provoke so many emotions in so many people, while simply being background music. Only the best can do such things, and c418 is one of those
Crockett’s deep voice provides a great sound on a tough cowboy sound. This is easily Crockett’s best song on the album
Lonesome Drifter strays away from Crockett’s usual sound, but it’s not a major change. This album, with Shooter Jennings’s production sounds harder and slight bit more upbeat at times. Doesn’t have the highs that some of the recent Crockett albums have had, or the consistency, but it still stands as a high quality Country/Americana album
If The Man from Waco was consistent, then this is something more than that. $10 Cowboy doesn’t have the stories or the highs than Crockett’s previous release does, but it is still a well thought out and enjoyable album.
Crockett finally produces consistent songs and he’s created the greatest country album produced. The songs hold up as individual tales, but when listened to in summary, it paints a tragic tale of cowboys and murder. This album is well produced, sung and performed. Once again, this is the best country album of all time
This album may be the most underrated of Sturgill’s releases. He steps away from his usual songs for much more of a rock album. But just because he switches genres doesn’t mean any change in quality
Sturgill’s third album continues to break away from the modern country genre. And this album is his best yet. The sample size isn’t large, with the album being under 40 minutes. But the versatility and quality remains consistently incredible. In all, this album is an extremely good listen
Kendrick Lamar has dropped a very high quality album with DAMN. It’s well produced and the tracks flow very well, both inside and outside of the album. There’s definitely some differences in track quality, but none that are overly noticeable. Overall, DAMN is another high quality release from Kendrick Lamar
After Kanye’s drop of Ye, he seemed to keep up with his workload for 2018, with this collab with Kid Cudi. And this collab provides what might be the best album in either rapper’s career. The track list is shirt, but that doesn’t stop it from being extremely well produced and high quality. This album should rank among the best albums of the decade and Kid Cudi’s and Kanye’s peaks musically. I have no criticisms at all for this album. Truely some of the best work ... read more
