This was so good! I kind of ran out of energy like a few songs in because I'm listening to it before bed and WOW this album has a lot of energy. That's like just the genre I guess. The transitions on all the songs were pretty cool. The last 3rd or so of the album being slower was so nice after so many really loud songs, if the whole album was like that I don't know if I would have made it lol
I actually thought I had listened to this one, but I guess not. It's definitely a step up from his last 2 albums. Also Erykah Badu sample in Too Deep For The Intro!
I had actually listened to this album before, unlike the last one, but I only had a couple songs on my playlist. This is definitely better than The Come Up, though I did like that one too.
I only listened to this because I wanted to find some instrumental music to play in the background while studying, but why not review it. There's nothing that I was really obsessed with, but I liked pretty much all of the songs, I'm a lot less picky with instrumental music. The only one I didn't like was Pent Up Polly, it was just kind of boring. I've listened to a couple other Jenny Schienmann albums, and this felt less abstract than like All Species Parade for example. I ... read more
I mean yeah that was good I liked it. I was laughing so hard at Plain.
I already knew a lot of the songs on this EP, and I've probably heard all of them at some point iny life, but I've never actually listened to the whole thing like at one time. I think she was like a complete child when she released this which is kind of crazy. Like I know she was 17 when her first album came out, and this was before that. It's a pretty good EP but her full albums after it are definitely better obviously as she like does music. For longer.
Such a good album! Her voice is beautiful, but what I loved even more was the production. It has everything, cool piano and violin parts (the most important because those are the instruments I play), cello and viola, horns, choir, cool drums, idk so much more.
I'm not crazy about it, but it's still a pretty enjoyable album. I definitely liked the more electronic songs like what a joke the most.
How can I possibly give this anything other than a perfect score?
Are we sure this is Chappell Roan? Absolutely sure? This is different in like every possible way from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (which isn't necessarily bad!!) but in this case, yes this EP is bad. Why does she sound like that?? I mean she's come a long way I guess.
I feel so peaceful, I wasn't expecting that lol. This was my first time listening to Alice In Chains so I went in with no idea what to expect, and I was not disappointed. I probably get excited about strings too much, but the cello on Whale & Wasp??? Oh my god?????
I don't usually listen to folk very much, but this was good! I really liked the vocals, and there was some fiddle which I'm always excited about. It could have used more fiddle though. Also I like the album cover it's cool.
A classic! I always love some good piano (though I might be a little bit biased).
I loved everything, but the instrumentals really stood out to me. Like the choir and orchestra on Standing Ovation???? SO good.
Oh my godddddd. Literally so good. This was my introduction to Hayley Williams which I know is kind of crazy since she was the lead singer for Paramore, but I'm so glad I found her.
