From all of the praise here I thought the album would be better, but it's a good album still.
I don't know why this album exists. Like, why is she bombarding us with releases? She is in the middle of a very successful tour, she has like 15 albums, is rerecording her old albums. Is she doing it for the numbers, the money? Idk. But nothing here catches me, it seems that she had no time to mature from midnights, this album suffers from a lot of the same things. It's a great album - it's a Beyoncé álbum, but it's not as great as Renaissance. I don't mind the long tracklist, but there's some unnecessary things like the Post Malone and Miley features that I think that could be left out.

Vou ser sincero: não curto muito projetos que tentam soar como a antiga MPB (vide bala desejo), acho preguiçoso e pouco interessante para o cenário atual da música brasileira. Porém, Ana faz um álbum impossivel de desgostar. Tudo aqui parece muito bem feito, tudo soa muito bem. É um projeto irresistível.
This year I've discovered and fallen in love with the music of Beverly Glenn-Copeland, specially his self-titled debut, a wonderful and magic folk album.
Here he seems to mix the two parts of his music career: the folk music of the first two albums and the new age/eletronic sound started in the acclaimed Keyboard Fantasies.
The Ones Ahead is a beautiful work filled with love and hope, and amazing vocals, production and lyrics.
