I had low expectations, so this turned out really well. Overall, it's an improvement over their previous album. The production has massively improved thanks to Dan Carey. There was so much media exposure for KNEECAP's political activism that attention was turned away from their music, so it makes sense to see their lyrics become more direct and political, catching up with and redefining their public image. This first single is good but sounds like a leftover from ILDMLFY. I love that he sampled Saul Williams, but I can imagine it getting annoying with repeat listens. The lyrics are strong and my favourite bar is "Get reparations when I fuck an Aryan". I'm excited for this new rollout although hesitant at the same time. Pushing the boundaries of pop while mixing so many genres. The intro, debut, works really well to kick off the album, and carta a mi papá is a wonderful, winding-down outro.
