Absolutely without a doubt Lana Del Rey at her peak. I do wish the interludes and a few of the songs like “Sweet”, and “Peppers” were a bit more thought out and polished but honestly this is a wonderful thematic experience that truly only comes out once in a lifetime. An amazing double album that delivers beyond belief in terms of performance and songwriting. This is basically the peak of 90s trio-hop up there with mezzanine, from someone who didn’t even write electronic music. Jazz music can simply almost not get better. So flourishing and full of experimentation all over the place. Truly a shining example of why the genre is so important to musical history and has shaped the landscape of everything. All of the performances and tone quality of the instruments are simply amazing. Easily one of the most terrifying and bold things in musical history, and it's so impressive considering how late in his career this was released. Every song is so intricate and chilling to the bone. The sense of laying and atmosphere that make all of these songs so emotionally potent is truly stunning beyond belief.
