Such a underrated album and definitely his best DJ Quik honestly doesn't get enough recognition. In my opinion this is one of the best G-Funk albums of all time the production is on same level with Dr Dre and his singing is almost on par with Easy-E. The runtime is about a hour and doesn't have really a bad song and it doesn't really drag. My grandma owned this on cassette and while I have a ton of nostalgia for this album it's not his best and not good example of doing a compilation album. First is good but the second half isn't that great has a lot of his great songs that are missing. The cover tho don't get why people say it's bad because I think it's badass.
Has his best work in every album and easily his best completion album. Every song is good and having songs from the Jackson 5 is a nice touch.🔥🔥🔥
CHROMAKOPIA is amazing this album did not disappoint, I love how experimental it sounds it doesn't take away from the album. I like how Tyler talks about how he's vulnerable throughout the album. My favorite tracks are Darling I, I Killed You, Judge Judy, Take your Mask Off, Sticky, Thought I Was Dead, Like Him. My least favorite is Balloon not a bad track but isn't the best. Overall this album is a great listen definitely my album of 2024.
