This is the Jackson 5's second album, and the first album of a busy 1970 for the group, releasing 2 more projects that year. They continue on a similar trajectory to their last album in terms of quality, and the fairly simplistic love songs. Clearly the title track stood out as the best of the bunch, which I found Motown often do, releasing a hit single, make it the title of an album, and surround it with filler.I feel this is done here, but that doesn't mean the other songs are not ... read more
Os Jackson 5 realmente tinham muito potencial. Não só dominavam as paradas musicais com sucessos como "ABC" e "The Love You Save", como também eram todos crianças! O Jackson 5 canta de uma maneira leve, dançante com o uso da voz doce, radiante do Michael Jackson e seus irmãos que conquistam o público e que são lembrados até hoje! O fica irritante é o ponto lírico do álbum que desgastam o romance proposto por ser adulto demais!

I just find it a little odd to hear the Jackson 5 singing about their ABCs or counting 2-4-6-8, then the next song is about this girl who doesn’t love them. Although hearing some of the older albums pre-singles career of Michael Jackson to see where he came from shows a talent waiting to be unleashed already.
I wasn’t ready for how good this was! Way more fun than their first album. Pretty groovy stuff.
