Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future
92

Melt My Eyez See Your Future is the best album I've ever listened to. The only thing comparing to this currently is TA13OO, also by Denzel. The beats remain absolutely great through the whole album, with some of the beats surprising me. Denzel not only does a great job at making a whole story while having a star studded feature list, but also delivers in some of the best bars I've heard. Sure they're not all double/triple entendres, and some people might find some of the bars cringey, but in my ... read more

quinn - a night in virginia

Conceptually it's great, but its flawed by the shortest runtime ever and bad mixing on one am and two am, with some of it showing up on four am aswell. As much as I'd love to give this a higher review, I can't see myself coming back to more than one song, and three am is an interlude in a 6 minute EP, which I think explains itself. The interpolation of "Hey There Delilah" works surprising well on four am. It caught me off at first, but it just sounds nice. Honestly if the mixing was ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - 1999

Although somewhat boring at times, 1999 is a solid Album that captures an immaculate vibe while talking about more serious topics. His lyricism is basically unmatched to this day (with some exceptions) and his topics of choice don't feel forced at all. Some beats feel a little lackluster, and unfortunately when they feel lackluster they also go on for 4+ minutes, making some of the songs a snoozefest, but most of the beats were manageable to even amazing (for example "World ... read more

jev. - the color grey.

Great short taste of jev. The songs are unfortunately quite repetitive and jevs accent goes from unique and flowy to unintelligible at times, with no way to find any lyrics for songs after breathe and before aitd. The beats are all absolutely amazing with aitd's beat being cool and unique in its own right and all the other beats have great samples. I can't choose any favorite songs, all of them are great

underscores - Wallsocket
NR

Personally I expected to like this album more than I actually did. I heard a lot of praise about it, some being very well deserved, but a good chunk of it was boring and somewhat rough around the edges. I didn't hate it, but I sure didn't love it either. High highs and mid lows is this entire album. underscores really shows promise and I can't wait to see what she does in the future.

Quadeca - From Me to You
63

Edit 75 -> 70 -> 63 ; the full experience is not as good on more listens

I must start this review off by saying I'm biased towards Quadeca, being a fan of his Youtube channel back in the day, and being really interested in "Voice Memos" when it came out.

From Me To You is an experience, with some amazing replayable bangers in it. The whole story of this album is great, although feeling one-noted at times. I personally didn't see the problem with Where'd You Go? at the time of ... read more

Lil Tecca - TEC

This album is basically as good as Tecca is ever gonna get with this sound. There are songs that not only do his sound justice, but also bring something new to the table (noticed in a song like "Real Discussions" and 'HVN ON EARTH), but there are also songs like "Fell in Love" being an absolute shitfest, sounding one-noted with no real depth, copying the already boring Ken Carson sound. Something I found especially annoying on these tracks was that basically every song ... read more

Denzel Curry - TA13OO

This album is seriously amazing. Although I'm not the biggest fan of some of the choruses on disc 2, as they sonically sound off to me, I found this album to be my most enjoyed 43 minutes of my life. From start to finish there was something for everyone, while not being "people pleaser-y" in the slightest. Everything about this album is great, with some VERY minor exceptions
