I've been gaslit into thinking that this was better than some of Kendrick's actual albums
An overall nice album with couple highlights surrounded by the sea of just okay-to-good songs that, at some point, basically blend into one due to the overblown runtime. Nothing is explicitly bad in the tracklist (except for The Let Out), but the biggest issue is that most of the songs end up feeling the same due to similiar production and themes. A lot of tracks start out interesting, but end up overstaying their welcome and losing all their momentum.
Underwhelming, especially considering all the hype leading to this project from the beef, label drama, 2000 dropping a while ago, and us (or me personally) expecting an album and not a mixtape.
Nothing really bad on this project, just above average rapping that often leaves an underwhelming/uninpsired aftertaste. Still has occasional gems though, reminding us that Joey still got it.
