Started okay but VERY quickly fell apart when Kanye started speaking on PAID. HOODRAT was damn insufferable and just made me feel uncomfortable. The mixing on a few tracks felt off and most of this album felt ‘awkward’ but I think that’s the point. A few tracks genuinely felt out of place like CAN’T GET OVER YOU (produced by Thundercat and Clams Casino) and NO FUN. The last song definitely saves the last half.

Best: SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK, I’LL SEE YOU IN 40

Worst?: CAN’T GET OVER YOU, NO FUN

goosebumps isnt the best song on this but it has a few good ones

First half is full of bangers but kinda dies in the second half, nice album to come back to. Some parts felt off, especially JAY-Z’s flow on a bit of songs, Kanye unironically kinda carries some of them

Most of the choruses are the reason for my scoring but this is a good improvement in Oliver’s recent output. It’s cool hearing him on subgenres like this.

While I wouldn’t agree with M.I.A.’s political beliefs, I learn to separate art from the artist so I won’t mention them any further.

This was a mess. I couldn’t exactly keep track of it mostly due to the amount of trumpet interludes and the over-reverb on M.I.A.’s vocals. It made me feel like I was listening to a memory.
