Live Vol. 1 is a very well put together album that features extremely heavy Daft Punk influences, which, while at times are certainly derivative, create a project well worth the listen.
Thundercat comes through with some generally satisfactory R&B tracks, and even a couple of standout moments.
'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! - As with all GY!BE's music, 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! is incredibly atmospheric, and it takes its time to build the environment it aims to deliver. And as with all GY!BE's music, and the general wider Post-Rock genre, I think it's pretty cool.
