In The Court Of The Crimson King is a phenomenal debut and an album that deserves all the praise it gets. King Crimson managed to make an album so incredibly adventurous and well thought out. Every song flows through its own journey and there is a lot of ideas that are shockingly ahead of its time. This is a definitely one of the most creative ambient projects I've heard. There's a sprawling nature to the tracks and a lot of them feel like they could just be soundtracks, sparing the occasional vocal performance, which made for some very unexpected and very welcome left turns.
If i were to have a criticism with the album, it would be that most of it could be used in an ad and i wouldn't blink twice. However two things can be true at the same time and while it can be adcore at times there are also some bangers.
Very peaceful, just nick and his guitar. Even once the end of the world rolls around, i believe humanity would still have simple beauties like this.
