i met my incredible girlfriend because of this album. she likes heavy metal?!?! i'm not even gay?!?! thanks apollino!
i don't know how but this album remains underrated. people don't usually drop songs that are this moving after they've passed. give this man the love he truly deserves. all of it.
this album has become very, VERY important to me.
it serves as a constant reminder to not be too quick to judge both an album and an artist for taking risks and having the guts to alter their music to better reflect the person they have become today.
far caspian has evolved and shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. i cannot wait to see what else joel has in store.
some of the absolute BEST cuts from this band come off of this album for me. the vibes, the culture, the story (even if i'm not the biggest fan of lore driven content), the ALBUM COVER. it is such a memorable record, probably their best overall. the only thing that holds is back is a few songs that just lull onwards. but seriously, to go from blurryface to this was an insane leap - one that stuck the landing with both of its feet cemented to the ground.
i've seen a lot of people say they're "disappointed". i sort of felt the same way initially, but i just cant come to admit that this album is bad in any conventional way. it's just a different direction than we're used to for tame impala, which i'd argue is fine.
making an album that deviates from your signature sound this much will never get you a uniformly favorable reaction (look at making a door less open by car seat headrest).
do your thing, kevin.
not a big fan of house but STILL a big fan of tame impala. confused on what to do. uhhhhhhh. uhhhhhhh.
thank you for giving this album to the world, and for allowing me to discover it when it seems i needed it most. i cannot wait to hear what this band has in store for the future.
and yes, I WILL BE ATTENDING ALL OF YOUR CONCERTS FROM NOW ON.
this band brought something unknown to the world of indie pop. their style will live on. rest easy, her's.
this record is perfect for what it delivers, accomplishing all that it aims to accomplish whilst leaving no room to be left desired.
now i want to do acid.
you all have no idea what you're talking about. a 65??
sure, it isn't perfect. but that's what makes it perfect. you silly foolish people don't get it.
before lore was at the helm of twenty one pilot's music, there was vessel. and vessel was great. vessel still remains great.
with the release of breach in the rear view, i return to this record with nothing but gratitude. sure, the whole dema storyline was creative but i always felt that the music lacked something that this band was extremely capable of: being grounded. it after scaled and icy, this band began to feel self-important to me. they'll always be my OG #1 favorite band, ... read more
i miss the strokes.
"the new abnormal" holds a special place in my heart. this album was my first TRUE exposure to the genre of indie rock - something i'll likely never let leave my music taste for as long as i shall live.
the adults are talking - likely one of the best album openers to have ever opened an album. this song is flawless, it's catchy, it's everything you could want from a song. it sets the tone so strong for the rest of an otherwise mythical record. ... read more
led zeppelin is a household name, right? i was surprised to find out they started in the 60's, they've always screamed 1980's vibes from their name. i've never listened to a led zeppelin album, let alone many of their songs (that i know of...) so this is gonna be fun. i HOPE this is gonna be fun.
that was a VERY mixed bag. that applies to length of song, quality of song, genre of song, rating of song, everything of song.
it started off pretty strong with good times bad ... read more
so i guess this will be my first real attempt at a review, but then again, this is for fun or something i guess.
i used to believe that the beatles were this outdated band that got WAY too much love for having mediocre pop/rock music. i thought "sure they have a couple outstanding songs, but what relatively well-known band doesn't?" so now, imagine my surprise after listening to revolver, a record that has something i didn't know the beatles were capable of: ... read more
unusually good for 60's psychedelic rock?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?
