Post Malone - Hollywood's Bleeding

i personally think that b&b is the better album but this is alright nonetheless. the production is really good and filled to the brim with some songs feeling soundtrack-like, trap tracks and pop songs. one thing i found odd was that staring at the sun is basically sunflower 2.

fav tracks: Take What You Want, Wow., Sunflower, Hollywood's Bleeding, Saint-Tropez, Circles, Internet
least fav tracks: Allergic, A Thousand Bad Times, On The Road,

production is damn clean on this album, however the mixing is questionable at some points. overall, this album has its own vibe to it and it pulls it off for the majority of the project. some songs felt a bit too short and some felt too long. i personally think earfquake isn't the best song on the album like most believe, i give that title to what's good. two months late to the hype train, but it's alright. i enjoyed the project.

by the singles released for this album, it was heading in the right direction, and then i started listening to it, and it's barely an improvement from her last project. most of these songs sound too alike, with the exception of bury a friend. however, i will admit there are a few songs that were entertaining as hell and had me excited. there could've been so much more to these tracks, but instead it's the trap kit, sub bass, pads and pianos mixed with arpeggiators.

this sounds like a track that should've been off of 'dont smile at me', and while i disliked that project, it's incredibly difficult to explain why i like this and not the others. the guitar with the deep synths, mixed with the audience sample. the trap kit is there, but it doesn't seem annoying for once. this song is quite beautifully done, and it makes me excited for the album. so far i've liked both singles, 2/2, it's going in the right direction.

EDIT: yea, this shrunk on me
