Never listened to Tom Waits before so I had no idea what to expect going into this. I will say, the gravelly, painful sounding voice did put me off at first, though the further I got through the album the more it grew on me and started to make sense.

I think this'll be an album I enjoy much more the next time I hear it, which is something I very much look forward to.
