Can't remember why or how this ended up on my spin list but I'm glad I gave it a go. Genuinely shocked to realise this is from 2022 as it feels like all the best of the late 90s/early 2000s indie music scene. The entire album is melancholic and intense, with the instrumental being more stripped back and serving to emphasise the artistry of the lyrics, which I find to be refreshingly vulnerable and earnest amidst a modern music scene in which honesty and self reflection is often lacking.
I look forward to hearing these guys again, whenever I get round to it.
