Just like the first edition of Insano, splash of highlights here and there but a boring project overall. Willis will go down as the worst song of the year.
Listening to this after listening to the collab album Future had with Metro, definitely had me missing the Metro production because it really would've taking this album to this next level. Not that the beats were bad or anything, but some of them definitely stale after a while. On first listen, I really wasn't feeling album a whole lot. I thought Offset had the best verse on the whole album and he was only on the album for about 40 seconds. I still think his verse is the best on the album, but ... read more
Honestly, one of the more consistent Future albums in quite a while. This record starts out really strong in the first 6 tracks (maybe excluding Claustrophobic) with consistent Metro production and addictive flows from Future, especially on the opener. What I love about this album is the healthy dose and not overwhelming use of features throughout the album. In previous Future collaboration albums, I felt like the features were lacking to help elevate songs. However, it changes on this album ... read more
Album #5 of listening to every AJR album while playing Resident Evil 6
My thoughts: This wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be
Album #4 of listening to every AJR album while playing Resident Evil 6
My thoughts: Really hard to lock in when I have grown men signing about Humpty Dumpty in my ear.
Album #3 of listening to every AJR album while playing Resident Evil 6
My thoughts: A lot less annoying than the previous two albums. Still not good, lyrics are still terrible
Album #1 of listening to every AJR album while playing Resident Evil 6.
My thoughts: I'm Ready and Thirsty made me second guess every life decision I ever made
Competing with IGOR to be my favorite breakup album. Every song contributes to the album and the story and Frank is able to do this all by himself with no features. The interludes aren't distracting and contribute perfectly to the album. Frank is putting all of his emotions into this album that reflect the emotions of a breakup. You have sad and sappy moments like Ivy and Whiter Ferrari and also have Frank being chaotic and jarring like the intro to Pretty Sweet. Really wasn't feeling this ... read more
Beautiful album from front to back, what really impressed me most is Abel is able to keep me engaged and attentive throughout the entire hour lo g album with no features. The first leg of this album is really strong starting the opener Alone Again. Then proceeded with great tracks like Hardest To Live, Scared To Live, and Heartless. Even like the overplayed songs like Blinding Lights and Save Your Tears still hit. The last part of this album is a strong as a the opener with closing tracks like ... read more
You know what? Why not get in your DJ Khaled bag and get a star-studded feature list and make pairing that make no sense whatsoever and give them these painfully mediocre beats. Some of them actually work though like First Night. Other than that, Fly Away and Doomsday are pretty good that's really it. Jack Harlow had a great verse on Stop Giving Me Advice but Dave couldn't really keep up the pace.
Not my favorite album from 21 Savage, but it's pretty good. Don't know why there are so many samples on this album, but they work ig. Savage does get introspective on this album and there are deep cuts which I enjoy. I feel like some of those songs are a little on the longer side though. Like dark days has no buisness being almost 5 minutes long even though it is a good song. The features are mostly great. Young Thug was kinda a disappointment though. However, we did get a good Lil Durk verse ... read more
Kind of a disappointing album for Cudi ngl, was kinda excited for this until I realized it was 21 tracks. Felt I zoned out for a majority of this album. Also, really didn't know why DJ Drama was kinda narrating this album. Anyways, the songs weren't necessarily bad, except for the one with X, which is just Orlando 2.0. Seems like Cudi saved his best songs for the end of the album as the last 5 tracks or were kinda hitting for me. Really enjoyed Young Thug on Rager Boyz, Cudi had a fantastic ... read more
Heaven or Hell is the debut album from Cactus Jack member and Travis Scott protégé, Don Toliver. This album was released at the very beginning at the oandemic and certainly helped people get through the pandemic with bangers such as After Party, No Idea, Cardigan, etc. This banger contains some of Don Toliver's most intoxicating can catchy hooks on tracks that I previously mentioned. The choruses hit hard especially on Can't Feel My Legs. I like that there aren't too many features ... read more
Let's Start Here. is that latest project from Lil Yatchy. I al absolutely stunned when I heard this project. I never have been more blown away than when I heard the BLACK seminole, it's one of the greatest tracks to be released this year. I appreciate Lil Yatchy taking a risk and going in a different direction with this album. I would have never expected take Lil Yatchy would be the one to deliver a tremendous psychedelic rock album. The production is what really carries this project as every ... read more
This is what perfection sounds like. There's nothing more I can say about this project except it's perfect. I'm firmly convinced this is the greatest album of all time.
a Gift & a Curse is the latest studio album from Gunna and compared to past albums, this is not bad for Gunna. It is definitely better than DS4EVER that dropped last year. I don't like this album as much as WUNNA, but it's somewhat on the same level. The main issue with this project is that Gunna cannot carry an album by himself, he needs a stacked feature list to carry him in some parts. Outside of bacl to the moon, fukumean, and rodeo dr, this album can drag out and become boring. This ... read more
LUV vs. The World 2 is the Deluxe edition to Lil Uzi's second studio album, Eternal Atake. I actually think this is a pretty good project from Uzi. The first half of this project is obviously stringer with Myron, Bean, Yesirskiii, Wassup, I Can Show You, and Strawberry Peels. Myron might be my favorite Uzi intro I have heard, which is a big compliment considering all of his intros are fire. Bean with Chief Keef is probably my favorite song off of here. Yessirskiii with 21 Savage is one of my ... read more
Mansion Musik is one of the albums of all time. I believe that Trippie does have a solid rage album in him. I like what he did with Trip At Knight and for the first like 7 tracks I was kinda liking what he was doing here. But there is way too much bloat on this album and half of these songs don't go anywhere. I believe the features are dragging this album down somewhat. Trippie sounds good on a handful of these songs, but sometimes it's the feature that kinda ruins the song for me. Also, ... read more
