Army Of Me- Absolutely timeless. Gritty, angry Bjork is my favorite Bjork. The album cover, and this being the first song, just feels so perfect. She knew she was dropping heat. Sickest bassline of all time. 9.1/9.1
Hyperballad- That transition from gritty, heavy synth to an atmospheric... well, hyper ballad. This was so unbelievably ahead of its time. The strings are just beautiful, and the electronic beats with her lush vocals feels so advanced. This is future music. 9.1/9.1

I was pestered for YEARS to give this band a chance. I was always like "nahh, maybe when I have free time". Well, in 2022, I finally caved. This was the album that started it all for me, and the first time I heard it, I was blown away. I didn't know indie rock could be so weird and eclectic. Anyways, I'm putting my sentiment aside to give a kinda-subjective-kinda-objective review of the album that got me where I am today.
Equally Damaged- Weird, fitting for the vibe of the ... read more
(I Am Taking Out My Eurotrash) I Still Get Rocks Off - I was impressed by this song on first listen, but the more I hear it, the less I like it. Maybe I should stop listening so I can still like it! In terms of Blonde Redhead, it leans on the generic side for me. It's not inventive or particularly groundbreaking compared to their other stuff, but it's still good. 7/10.
Violent Life - Hell yeah. I consider this album their "dark" album, though Fake Can Be Just As Good taps ... read more
I Don't Want U - An admittedly shaky start to the album. If I had to describe it in one word, I would say unpolished. As much as I hate the comparison, you can feel the Sonic Youth inspiration in this song, but both of their vocals are on the worse side here. The instrumental is great, but it can't save the vocals. 5.5/12.5.
Sciuri Sciura - Sorry, no. I don't know why I dislike this song so much, but I do. 3.5/12.5.
Astro Boy - This amazing song is stuck on an album ... read more
Kazuality - This album is LOUD as hell. I love it! Great pick for an intro song, starting with the quiet guitar and ambience, then going crazy on the drums and his vocals. Great song to joust with guitars to. I wish there was a little more rhythmic variety similar to the ending lyric of the song. 11.5/12.5.
Symphony of Treble - LOUD. SO LOUD. Many of the songs on Fake Can Be Just As Good, this song included, has an eerie feeling that I can't quite place. Like a villain origin story. ... read more
