This album is absolutely fucking mindbending, my lord, Gizz absolutely tears it up with incredible guitar work all round, especially the heavy but beautifully melodic riffs, plus the drumming on this is absolutely top tier, you can feel it hard especially on tracks like motor spirit.

This album pioneered the trip hop and downtempo electronic music scene in the late 1990s and it’s easy to see why. The dark and at points downright disturbing beats on this album can pierce one’s ears and explode deep into your head in a beautiful cacophony of sound. John McLaughlin is a god amongst men and his playing on this record is nothing short of fantastic, combining brilliant technical skill with absolutely mindbending speed, especially on tracks such as The Noonward Race.
