I don't really have anything to say about this album other than it just being strange and boring. All of the features made it hard for me to critique Gorillaz as a band because I couldn't tell anything that was happening. Some of the earlier tracks sounded alright but the album as a whole lacked direction and anything that could hold my attention for any valuable amount of time.
Very consistent album. Each individual song is very good but as an album I think it all sounds the same after a while. The songs are all very long but it works pretty well as they never slow down, but does lack progression a lot of the time. Overall a very good collection of songs with some missing variety to help mix it up.
This is my favourite musical release currently. Sierra Sikora is an artist who I quickly fell in love with just last year and she has continued to deliver absolutely incredible tracks which is so so impressive for such a small artist. All of her songs are filled with so much care and passion and watching her slowly grow as an artist has been so special to watch. With this being her first release with multiple tracks, the songs that she has been working on for years have all been conglomerated ... read more
I lowkey wasn't paying attention the first time so I'm gonna revisit this soon
Pretty good, really good voice but didn't really catch any theming. Instrumentals were nice but wasn't too interesting lyrically. REALLY sad the last one didn't have lyrics because it was by far the most interesting instrumentally.
Extremely overrated, the grungy instrumentals aren't for me and Mr Kobains voice while fitting, is not pleasant to listen to. While some songs are iconic and I would even go so far as to say "good", the rest of the album is an unpleasant, repetitive mess. Sad to not enjoy this one, oh well.
Overall it was pretty uninteresting but the tracks were nice and well produced. Quite repetitive and long but thats probably because this type of music isn't for me. The title track was the only one I actively disliked where the 3 different instrumentals didn't really work together for most of the song imo. Not bad but it did feel kinda like lofi beats to relax/study to
Some highlights but overall pretty uninteresting. Not bad, but not great either
Some tracks individually are good, I love the storytelling on Ruin The Friendship and the title track is very good. As a whole, I feel it lack experimentation and passion and is one of the albums that grew off of me the most.
Verrrrry good, some instrumental choices in places that weren't my favourite but still loved it
