I'm gonna try to keep the comparisons between "CTRL" and "SOS" to a minimum in this review, so I'm just saying it now, while i loved "CTRL", I still think "SOS" is the better project, that's just my very biased opinion tho, both of these albums are masterpieces and unique in their own ways.

While SZA didn't begin her career with "CTRL", it was her first studio album, and a very clear indicator that she is here to stay. The writing, the sound, even the way that she sings are all very unique and true to SZA's character. There is a certain, for lack of a better word, ugliness in everything, she usually sings low and with a thick accent, while exploring themes of lustfulness and cheating, but all of these "ugly" things, combine together to make something incredibly beautiful. I especially loved tracks like "Love Galore" with a great feature from Travis Scott, "The weekend" and "Doves in The Wind" with K.Dot. I think that, despite being a sucker for storytelling, I liked the "fun" songs where SZA just let loose a bit more. That said, all songs are great, absolutely no skips on this record, from top to bottom it is an absolute joy.

Favorite songs: "Go Gina", "Doves in the Wind", "20 Something"
Least favorite: none lol
