A really good, really short record by the ever so charismatic Pusha T.
I have to say, while I'm a big fan of the confidence that Push brings and the impeccable production by Kanye, this style of gangsta, hardcore hip-hop is not really up my alley. That said I did enjoy the record and I can't deny it's quality. It's a solid listen, and if you're into this kind of style you'll definitely love it

I figured it's finnaly time that i actually listen to this project in full and, since i already knew and liked a good chunk of the songs, i was not disappointed.
I'd say it stays pretty consistent quality wise throughout the whole runtime, maybe dipping a bit with "Petrecerea secolului" which, don't get me wrong, is a banger, but not at the level of the other ... read more

Why did i wait on this one for so long?
I really liked "Currents". The drums, bass, synth lines are so head-melting, mind-warpingly great it just makes you feel so good. The whole story and progression, while I don't think i fully understood it, is still executed so well and is so intricately connected within the whole record.
Overall, it's just a really good album, the only downside would be that i can't really see myself listening to individual tracks by themselves, ... read more

I guess I'm in the minority that doesn't think this is their best album :/
That said i do still like "Trench". I like the synth, kinda trippy sound. I wouldn't call it psychedelic necessarily but it's clearly pulling some inspiration from that genre. One thing I'll say is the tracks more focused on rapping are honestly kinda lacking.
