Ecco please drop again king ๐๐๐
after getting into drain gang through a friend last year, when going through bladees discography ecco has always been a sign of "hey, this is a quality song" when I see him as a feature on the tracklist, and so I had high hopes for his one (and so far, only) solo album in his over a decade long career. it's been over 5 years since this album has dropped.
that being said, this album earns the masterpiece title to the point where I can't even complain about the lack of any other full length projects. not a single skip in the tracklist, the album is filled with lyrical substance with themes of drug abuse and mental health issues that are consistent within the collective, however done with poetic and catchy execution. Eccos vocals don't dissapoint either, flows and melody's that stay stuck in my head hours after listening due to eccos other worldly and beautiful vocal style.
here's a shocker - the production is beautiful and ethereal to compliment eccos vocals. many of them are simplistic but are made what they are by eccos vocals and melody's as i mentioned before. AAA powerline is a perfect opener that Encapsulates everything there is to love about this album. its is SO. GODDAMN. CATCHY. If I could get a CD of this album, I would have sex with the disk.
if I were to have one complaint, it's that this album does have a few songs that leave me wanting more, and could probably use extending to feel fully complete.
