Nice dreamy record. Minimalistic production, and songwriting. Nothing too crazy, but it's not a problem for this vibe. I really enjoyed it!
Beautiful sound palette across all the tracks. Lovely textures and melodic ideas.
Szczerze, jeden z najlepszych polskich mainstreamowych albumów, jakie słyszałem. Ciekawy songwriting, świetna produkcja. Duży plus za różnorodność w indywidualnych kawałkach zamkniętą w dość spójnym opakowaniu.
Dark, gritty, classic sound. Stellar production, but songwriting and structure feels very bland. Decent overall.
I'm a sucker for any emotional songs in general. I enjoyed most of the vocal performances on the project. The production, while not always shining - is also there at a "nothing too crazy" level, but not everything fits for me. It started strong but quickly went down hill. But still need to admit that I was bobbing my head to some of the tracks. Could be longer and more interesting as a whole. Kinda left me disappointed.
It really grew on me a lot, and it's somewhat personal to me - so bias points for that. But full honesty: a million vocal takes paired with very minimal and creative production makes this really stand out for me. After a recent re-listen, I do agree that this is a really solid debut album. For now, it's my favorite of hers, and I don't think that would change any time soon (looking at you HMHAS).
A lovely project overall. Groovy bass lines, laid back drum beats, nice soft vocals. Comforting, soothing and a little psychedelic at times.
Colorful and big world of bright synths and distorted vocals really scratches my brain the right way. I love the sound palette here so much. I really wish I could have seen this project live.
Honestly, I thought I remember this album sound way better at my first listen back when it released. Now I'm sure I was just blinded by nostalgia. Every track from this project is a hit or miss for me. The songwriting feels very bland, and calls the production for the rescue multiple times throughout it. Stan, please stick with drum & bass (EBES is better imo).
It didn't click for me immediately at the first listen, but now I kind of understand the idea behind this album. Still a little blurry and rough around the edges. While the songwriting isn't at its best here compared to her previous works, I can fully appreciate the stellar production from FINNEAS.
Little side-note: The motif from BLUE on the end of SKINNY played by violins is a really nice touch.
Really clean transitions. Beautiful display of instrumental hip hop, soulful samples, groovy bass and bouncy drums. Not too much overcooked.
You can't really overthink it. It's a nice blend of jungle with modern production and kinda cheesy pop writing. Sweet from the bottom to the top. Has some nice soft bangers, but nothing too crazy.
The production is there, the songwriting is there. Love the indie rock-ish influences and the dark atmosphere. But I feel like it lacks something.
The instrumentation on this project blends so well together. Beautiful soft synth textures merged with soothing pianos, plucky guitars and swells of strings really make you feel immersed in the world that phritz has created. If you're into this kind of sound, I really recommend checking out their "tai hirose" alias.
