Anomalie - Galerie
84

A beautiful display of pure artistry by Anomalie. While I didn't vibe with all of the features on this project, it did leave a permanent stank face for the whole album. Immaculate stuff!

Instupendo - Boys by Girls
73

Nice dreamy record. Minimalistic production, and songwriting. Nothing too crazy, but it's not a problem for this vibe. I really enjoyed it!

Tennyson - Telescope
95

This might be one of my favorite EPs ever. Every track here is a world of its own. Beautifully crafted combos of textures and melodies, wide array of rhythms and overall great atmosphere. 21 minutes of awesome music.

Tennyson - Different Water
80

Beautiful sound palette across all the tracks. Lovely textures and melodic ideas.

Dawid Podsiadło - Małomiasteczkowy
85

Szczerze, jeden z najlepszych polskich mainstreamowych albumów, jakie słyszałem. Ciekawy songwriting, świetna produkcja. Duży plus za różnorodność w indywidualnych kawałkach zamkniętą w dość spójnym opakowaniu.

Justice - Hyperdrama
72

Dark, gritty, classic sound. Stellar production, but songwriting and structure feels very bland. Decent overall.

Joji - SMITHEREENS
62

I'm a sucker for any emotional songs in general. I enjoyed most of the vocal performances on the project. The production, while not always shining - is also there at a "nothing too crazy" level, but not everything fits for me. It started strong but quickly went down hill. But still need to admit that I was bobbing my head to some of the tracks. Could be longer and more interesting as a whole. Kinda left me disappointed.

Billie Eilish - WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?
93

It really grew on me a lot, and it's somewhat personal to me - so bias points for that. But full honesty: a million vocal takes paired with very minimal and creative production makes this really stand out for me. After a recent re-listen, I do agree that this is a really solid debut album. For now, it's my favorite of hers, and I don't think that would change any time soon (looking at you HMHAS).

Imagiro - unfold
83

Organic soundscapes, elements of folk sprinkled in with electronic lofi synths and raw vocals are a perfect combination for a cozy, reassuring vibe. So dreamy.

Santpoort - maybe not tomorrow
78

A lovely project overall. Groovy bass lines, laid back drum beats, nice soft vocals. Comforting, soothing and a little psychedelic at times.

Madeon - Good Faith
86

Colorful and big world of bright synths and distorted vocals really scratches my brain the right way. I love the sound palette here so much. I really wish I could have seen this project live.

Fox Stevenson - Killjoy
65

Honestly, I thought I remember this album sound way better at my first listen back when it released. Now I'm sure I was just blinded by nostalgia. Every track from this project is a hit or miss for me. The songwriting feels very bland, and calls the production for the rescue multiple times throughout it. Stan, please stick with drum & bass (EBES is better imo).

torr - molecule

I did not hear a single song that I've been bored with here. I could only wish that the whole project was longer. Awesome album from start to finish.

Afternoon Bike Ride - Glossover
80

Comforting songwriting and sound palette. Cozy vibes for rainy days.

Wavedash - Tempo
73

This project doesn't feel like an album at all, and that's a good thing for me. It's a nice mixture of different EDM sub-genres, but it's not really thinking outside the box. Has some bangers to throw on shuffle.

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
80

It didn't click for me immediately at the first listen, but now I kind of understand the idea behind this album. Still a little blurry and rough around the edges. While the songwriting isn't at its best here compared to her previous works, I can fully appreciate the stellar production from FINNEAS.

Little side-note: The motif from BLUE on the end of SKINNY played by violins is a really nice touch.

Kenneth Blume - LOUIE
84

Really clean transitions. Beautiful display of instrumental hip hop, soulful samples, groovy bass and bouncy drums. Not too much overcooked.

piri & tommy - froge.mp3
68

You can't really overthink it. It's a nice blend of jungle with modern production and kinda cheesy pop writing. Sweet from the bottom to the top. Has some nice soft bangers, but nothing too crazy.

The Caracal Project - Self reflections:
74

The production is there, the songwriting is there. Love the indie rock-ish influences and the dark atmosphere. But I feel like it lacks something.

phritz - しりべつのほとりにて [by the banks of shiribetsu]
80

The instrumentation on this project blends so well together. Beautiful soft synth textures merged with soothing pianos, plucky guitars and swells of strings really make you feel immersed in the world that phritz has created. If you're into this kind of sound, I really recommend checking out their "tai hirose" alias.

"While I refuse to rate any of Charlie's projects on here, because all of his music is way too personal for me, I gotta say - you have the same thoughts as me. :) Also idk if you're in duumucord, but it doesn't seem that he's gonna be back making solo music for a while. Now he's just producing for his friends, based mostly in asia. But for sure it would happen some day."
