Welcome to the end of the world, sung and played by Muse! "Played" is quite the accurate word for this album, as the theatre vibes from this album are apparent. It's rocky, alternative, ballady, and theatrical to its core. There isn't much more to talk about this album outside of those 4 adjectives for me, but that doesn't speak to its shortcomings, but rather how well this project portrays them. You have "Hysteria" with fucking metal bassline, "Time is ... read more
Welcome to the bustling, sexy, and extravagant night-life described by New-York's singer and songwriter Azealia Banks.

My first listen of Dream Theater! An Eighty-eight for Octavarium, the eight-track long project with a ending song called Octavarium, that has 8*3 minutes to it's name. A gr(eight) piece of progressive metal, a genre I don't listen to often to at all.
Number puns aside, this album was a nice listen. A amazingly put together message of being trapped in ones own mind, or the "Octavarium". This same message being reinstated with the Newton's Cradle in the art, and the ... read more
A rating more based in more bias than others from my own relation to the message of this album. The message going through different times in the year, but the passage is time is only marked by different parts of the speaker's fear, excitement, and questioning of the identity of themselves, and their partner for the future to come.
Although this album is received poorer than other popular albums of Tame Impala, it's one that isn't lacking in good production and themes. Rather, ... read more
