Sabrina Carpenter's Man's Best Friend is a bit of a mixed bag to put it lightly.
To start with the positives, I think the light humour and amount of emotion in certain works extremely well, more specifically in WABUALN & GGJ. I think her lyricism on occasion is really great and enjoyable, and the connection between some songs are done really well in a surprising way. Her vision is also very clear throughout it of her wanting a "good boy" and the trials that comes with ... read more
Soft Is Strong by KATSEYE is exactly what I think they should have and could've been.
To start with what I liked, I think the album the songs showcased the girls vocal abilities amazingly while also making the songs somewhat unique to them and not just random radio slop. I think there's also a very strong sense of girlhood shown throughout the tracks which is what I think KATSEYE can represent really well given the right songs. FROOT is a very artistic album by MARINA. Her vulnerablity is very clear and very well delivered within the lyrics, her production is gorgeous with a very obvious disco inspiration without being too obnoxious or in your face. I think the main concept of loneliness & happiness is delivered amazingly. Almost no notes. Greatest album by MARINA by far imo
Strongest Track - Savages
Weakest Track - Blue

The main problem I have in this album is it feels like her most safe album. Like, for an album but liberation (even if it is mainly focused on love & ... read more
The Family Jewels in my opinion is arguably one of, if not, the best album MARINA has put out (with an argument for Froot). I think the concept in it, unlike ADIAML is very clear and concise through the entire album with lyrics that show MARINAs vulnerable and emotion side amazingly for a debut, and it has fun tracks which are great to listen to with your brain switched off but the lyrics come deeper. The only problem I have with it mainly is really Girls, which I feel like has a well meaning ... read more
