Simply wow. This may very well be woods' best work to date. The lyricism, the production, everything about this project is damn-near perfect.
The best album of the year so far. Maxo crafts an absolutely beautiful sound through his use of abstract, lo-fi production and incredible lyricism, broken up by the occasional vocal performance, which, likewise, is breathtaking. Although this project isn't as good as, say, LIL BIG MAN, it is still a masterclass in abstract hip-hop.
Super solid project from ZekeUltra and Nephew Hesh, one of the best of this year. The features on this album, however, do a lot to bring it down. While the production is unique and captivating, the project is held back by what seems to be a lack of confidence on ZekeUltra's part. However, those moments where he does go all in are the highlights of the album. Looking forward to more from ZekeUltra, hopefully sometime in the near future!
I won't entertain objectivity. I won't entertain the avant-garde and their cynicisms. I won't entertain the mainstream and their perpetual boredom tropes. This is the greatest album of all time because it was the only album that spoke to me when I was fifteen years old.
