This is absolutely phenomenal in every way possible, and in my opinion the best cloud and conscious hip hop combo album. I’d say it’s more leaning to the cloud rap side, so I’m just goign to count it as that. It just captures the overall laid back feel so well. so well, and when I think of cloud rap I think of this. The lyrical content, despite it being cloud rap, is so perfect in many ways. Now typically cloud rap doesn’t include complex rhyme schemes, but this has just ... read more
There’s a lot to love and hate about this project, but personally I’m more on the side of hatred. This is a cloud hip hop album, and it’s easy to tell that because of the beats and laid back delivery. But this is so unbearably repetitive and forgettable, that it had to go this low. The lyrical content is pretty good. He has good-ish rhymes, but the presences are so much better than the rhymes. The regencies almost always are unexpected and slap, but some of them are just bad. ... read more
This was another solid Griselda album, and it’s very enjoyable. The lyrical content was overall really good, but there were some categories it lacked in. The rhymes were a little more boring and less complex than his other stuff, so it leaves quite a bit to be desired. The story telling is decent, and it offers some nice depth to it but not too much. The delivery was amazing as per usual, and it offered that classic harshness to it. The references though were on another level, and they ... read more
The his is an undisputedly phenomenal album, and there is nothing that can convince me that this is not perfect. Down to the last minor detail, everything is just so satisfying and spectacular. The lyrical content is perfect, and it perfectly captivates the ruthless style of coke rap. It has cold hard rhymes, that all hit deep. The references play into the story telling so well, and they’re just so subtle and great. Each song has a unique story that plays into a bigger picture of the ... read more
Honestly I surprisingly enjoyed this album quite a bit, and it was very fun. This was deifntley better than the first one, which is a really rare instance. The lyrical content was actually really anmazing, and it probably stood out to me much more than the production. His rhymes are pretty good, and he stays consistent with good rhymes. He is lowkey kind of just yapping about the typical gangster stuff (sex, drugs, and opps), but this was still really good. His references are actually really ... read more
To be honest this was really surprising, and I definitely did not expect it to get this high of a rating. It really surprised me, and I thought that this was just going to be a horrible album all together, but it’s alright. The lyrical content is horrible, and it is just painful. His rhymes are just so horrible and simplistic, and they’re not really good. He doesn’t flow at all, and it actually feels a little rough when he’s running off these beats. The defenses are ... read more
This was a solid jazz instrumentals only album, and it offers a decent amount of cool elements. Theres not too much that is memorable about this album though, and there’s also a lot that’s pretty repetitive. The instruments are nice, but they’re too simplistic and basic to have a higher rating. It has the typical jazz instruments, such as, saxophone, trombone, and drums. The instruments are more slow paced and laid back, and there’s not that much complexity to them. ... read more
To be honest, this is definitely a great album, but there’s nothing really memorable here. For some reason everything on this album doesn’t stick out to me, and it’s just so forgettable. The lyrical content was good, and it offered quite a bit. The rhymes were really good, and each bar offered a nice complex lyric scheme. They weren’t anything crazy though, and on some of the songs it’s a little more simplistic. He does flow really well off practically all these ... read more
This was a really enjoyable album, and this was a solid project. There are some corners that it lacks in, but overall it does really good. This is an instrumentals album only, so there’s no lyrical content (just an fyi). If you enjoy nujabes than you’ll recognize two of these iconic samples, and it really makes the album enjoyable. The two samples are feather, which sampled from the song, love theme from the robe. Then the second sample is from, the final view, which sampled the ... read more
Honestly I think that this had lots of wasted potential, but it’s not a fully bad album. In the intro he was lowkey yapping, but it has a deeper meaning I think so it’s whatever. The lyrical content overall was mid. A lot of the bars were either simplistic boring rhymes, or no rhymes at all. The story telling is very hard to distinguish, and it gives lots of mixed messages. You deifntley have to listen to this multiple times to have a feel what it’s about. His execution did ... read more
This was just such an amazing and enjoyable album, and you must listen to it. It’s an instrumental album only, but it just feels so impactful and like there’s so much story telling going on here. The production is just amazing here, and it offers so much. The instruments are constantly changing, switching in and out, and different notes are being utilized. The flutes, and other instruments also all collaborate together so well and it’s really satisfying. It was all just so ... read more
This was a really great album, and even though I’m not a big metal fan I still enjoyed this quite a bit. If you enjoy metal than you will undoubtedly appreciate this project, but regardless I think you’ll still appreciate it. The lyrical content was hard to judge, since the screaming is so harsh and loud. He did put much effort into that delivery though, as you can expect from a metal album. The production was really great, and it was super engaging. The drums were very fast paced ... read more
This was a pretty enjoyable album, but there are some things that this album lacks in. It’s not that there’s any sort of it that’s bad, it’s just that nothing about this album from production to lyrical content is like amazing or outstanding. The lyrical content was great, yet it’s still not amazing. The references definitely stand out the most from lyrical content, but there’s not that much of it. Though there are some cool ones, like how he mentioned, it ... read more
I really enjoyed this album quite a bit, and it definitely was another solid mobb deep album. The infamous duo came in with brute force, and they cut no slack. Although I do get that prodigy is dead (r.i.p. prodigy), he still did actually pretty well. The overall lyrical content was phenomenal, and it was so enjoyable. It had great bars and rhymes, but there was still some room for improvement. Their hooks though were amazing and really memorable. The flow and execution were great too and it ... read more
This is honestly a pretty cool album, and I really enjoyed it quite a bit. There are defintley some corners that this album lacks in, but overall the other categories make up for that quite a bit. The lyrical content was good, and relatively engaging. He executed all these line with this sort of calm elegance, and it still had heart poured into it, but he wasn’t screaming into the mic to prove such. The rhymes were kind of mid, and each bar didn’t really have too much to offer. ... read more
I really enjoyed this album, and it takes you on a spectacular journey. Now this one is really funky and hard to explain, but it’s similar to flying beagle. It felt as if you are a bird flying over random places when you hear it, and it kind of sets that picture in your mind after you think about it. Which makes it really fun to come back to, and listening to it multiple times is just desirable. Now obviously this is an instrumentals only album, so there’s no lyrical content. But ... read more
This wasn’t a horrible album, especially considering it’s k-pop. It’s a little cringe and kind of out of pocket, but you have to keep in mind that’s practically what k-pop is. The lyrical content was hard to judge, but for the delivery it was very rough. And not a good type of rough either, it feels as if they’re forcing out what they’re saying. The production was pretty good. It did a good job on not overusing electric instruments, and those electrical ... read more
This was an alright project, but if I’m being honest it was kind of really close to mid. Now don’t get me started on the intro track, I actually loved this and it was such a phenomenal intro. Now here’s the problem though, the first two songs are absolute bangers, but after that everything else was just decent or mid. It lowkey pains me, but I guess that I should be thankful for the first two songs. Now overall the production was alright, but it felt way too repetitive. The ... read more
This is just a phenomenal album, and if you enjoy Griselda than this is your dream. The lyrical content is just classic Griselda style, and it’s spectacular. The execution is harsh, gritty, and uncomfortable. Which is project for Griselda. The rhymes are amazing and they go so well bar after bar. I also love the skits off this project too, they really add to that vibe of harshness. Skits like the skit on, free chapo, or, Omar’s coming, really are great examples for that. The ... read more
This was a decent album, but I will say it leaves much more to be desired. I mean it’s definitely not horrible but it’s definitely not good. The lyrical content overall though was really good, and they really did have some great moments. The rhymes overall were pretty darn good, and also pretty darn enjoyable. The execution had a decent amount of heart poured out into it. The production was pretty bad though, overall. And it’s really repetitive and boring. It is also is pretty ... read more
