An incredibly impressive debut EP from the relatively underground shoegaze band LSD and the search for god. The thing that stood out to me the most about the sound of this record was the mix of the male and female vocals by Andy Liszt and Sophia Campbell respectfully. Liszt’s vocals drove the story of the songs forward whilst Campbell accompanied the vocals in a way that creates texture and builds upon their already incredibly ethereal sound. Definitely worthy of the ‘sadcore’ title that’s for sure
Favourite tracks: gold dust, echo bravo, earth moon transit
This album holds so much sentimental value to me it’s insane. This score reflects the overall quality of the songs to the average listener but for reasons which can only be explained my nostalgia I love this thing so much.
One thing I wanted to add is that ‘Why’ is a genuinely incredible song. It has an unusual song structure, a great guitar solo and the intro/outro is almost psychedelic in a way. I think it’s just genuinely great.
