It took me a while to realize this came out in 1973, and at which point the acclaim of this album made a lot more sense to me, as this sounds way ahead of its time in its songwriting and performance - a good time all around
This sounds like if Sigur Ros and Portishead had a baby, and while that sounds awesome, and probably is to most people, it does kind of put me to sleep with how calm and sweet it all is - honestly not a bad second on here, but a little too low-energy for me personally to fall in love with
I should listen to more of these guys - this album blew me away with how endlessly noisy and wildly fun it was, maybe moreso than any other project I've heard from them - color me impressed and satisfied
This is disgustingly sludgy and heavy in all the best ways - the only thing I wish is that it was mixed a little better or remastered at some point, since the music here could do with the modern Swans-esque production that gloriously beats you over the head
Some fun rockin' Latin prog - the guitar work on this is epic and the composition of the album as a whole is really cool, although I don't see myself coming back to this much
