Skrillex - Quest For Fire

Skrillex returns in a HUGE way with an amazingly produced project that blends electronic genres and cultures from around the world into an absolutely gripping front to back listen.

I know many people who scoff at the name Skrillex who are absolutely blown away when I have them listen to this without telling them who it is. Upon reveal, i'm often met with denial and disbelief.

There's no better way he could have announced his return than by reinventing his sound from the ground up, and showing ... read more

Angst in it's most perfect form. While the overall sound of Numetal hasn't aged all that well as a whole, Hybrid Theory still stands out as it's own unique listening experience, putting it's self far ahead of it's contemporaries in terms of songwriting, performance, and production.

I'll never stop coming back to this album when I feel like having a good angst session.

This album is a strange one for me. Every time I listen to it, I think that I shouldn't like it due to it's juvenile vocal styles, or sometimes rough writing, yet I find myself coming back to it over and over again, enjoying it more than the last time.

Jakey seems to have captured the vibe that AJR has been desperately trying to do for their entire career buy failed to miserably. A cheesy and innocent mix of innocent storytelling and the more "cringe" aspects of internal struggles, ... read more

The absolute peak of Coldplay's creativity and performance.

Viva la Vida continues to wow listeners, and often brings me back for full listens more often than almost any other album in my collection. Road trips, working, working out, introspecting, you name it, this album will grip you and not let go.

0 skips front to back, and not a single lapse in quality between tracks, Viva la Vida tells a coherent story, and keeps you thinking about your listen long after the needle raises.

Nothing But Thieves - Dead Club City

Dead Club City sees Nothing but Thieves taking a retro inspired approach to their existing catalogue to mixed levels of success throughout.

Unfortunately, while the highs of this album are very much so, the valleys are often deep, and full of... well... filler. There's 3 tracks that standout amongst the rest in my opinion, and make the rest feel a but underwhelming on repeat listens.
