Anatole Muster - hopecore
NR

If Porter Robinson made chill accordion music? Ok seriously though I didn't know you could do so much with an accordion. And it reminds me of Pokemon music.

Neggy Gemmy - She Comes From Nowhere
NR

Really cool dance songs, lots of interesting and unique stuff, works well together.

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
NR

I'm so glad we made it past January and 2025 albums have gotten better. Especially in terms of electronic albums, where we really got higher standards (Oklou, Ninajirachi, etc). The longer it's been the less I've cared for this.

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz
NR

It's heat for sure but this is a good reminder that louder does not necessarily mean better and also the sound effects are a little too much, I'm not trying to listening to a mariokart playthrough.

Geese - Getting Killed
NR

I've never had a problem with Cameron Winter's vocals but I just don't feel like they're as strong as on 3D Country. Overall the album is fine.

Blood Orange - Essex Honey
NR

I think it's got some interesting bits but it kinda starts slow and there's not much replayability for me. Worth a listen though.

ivri - the theory of you
NR

Obviously stumbled upon this via Tower of Memories. Was hoping for more stuff like that. I think she's still trying to work out her sound.

Hatchie - Liquorice
NR

Does it sound just like the Cocteau Twins if Elizabeth Fraser had intelligible lyrics? Yes. Do I love the Cocteau Twins and think this album is super catchy? Yes

Danny Brown - Stardust
NR

Yeah I mean, it's Danny Brown. He's just gonna do whatever the hell he wants. Can't think of many other people who would do a Polish-Ukranian breakcore song.

Snocaps - Snocaps
NR

The best word I can use to describe this is cute

Daniel Caesar - Son Of Spergy
NR

I'm ngl I was fully expecting a sleeper album but it turned out better than I had thought. Call On Me feels like it could almost be a huge hit with that chorus and guitar riff, the verses probably needed something a little more and the lyrics are meh (what the hell is "Whenever you feel your tummy rumble / Need something to eat" ???)

Sudan Archives - THE BPM
NR

I like this kind of dance music but I don't really feel like it caught me enough to say oh yeah I'm gonna have this on repeat.

Purity Ring - purity ring
NR

I'm puzzled by why they made this their self-titled album. It doesn't strike me as their best work. Just a lot of the same. They have a sound and it works but I feel like they could take it a step further.

Exum - In Russia. A is a 9
NR

No idea why this got recommended to me but I think it is worth a listen. It's got some interesting stuff and I feel like he has potential. Ir's not quite there though.

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
NR

I'm so torn on this album, I can see its worth and there are some really cool songs that I'm glad are seeing the light of day but I've just never had the urge to return to any of the songs, even the ones I've saved. For a posthumous album it's good.

Kevin Abstract - Blush
NR

It's not bad but there's nothing that really pulls you in. Nothing standout production wise.

Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party
NR

I first listened to this before it was released on streaming platforms and I thought then it was kinda rushed and trying a lot of different things, and I was expecting her to touch up on it when it gets released as an actual album. Well, that didn't happen. It's got a couple of cool songs but I just don't see the worth of this as an LP unfortunately.

Jim Legxacy - black british music (2025)
NR

Somehow every song is a banger, super catchy, lots of fun. Great samples, good mix of styles. I just wish some of the songs were longer! I think if you just extend some of the bigger hits and remove a couple of songs at the end this would be an elite album. It's fantastic either way.

Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving
NR

I was impressed on first listen. It's not impressive by standing out but she's got a good voice and every song was fun and captivating so I was hooked. Plenty of songs that get stuck in your head. Shows that you don't need to reinvent the wheel to make a great album. She does what she does and she does it right.

Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend
NR

She's fully playing into the humor and I'm here for it. Doesn't feel overdone, yet. She's great at pulling off the older sound too. 70s, 80s, 90s, she's got it down. You know it'll be a banger.
