It was a great album from start to finish. But I can't seem to get past the first song. The sounds of laughter rising in the middle of the song took me away. Totally it's a crazy work. I love it.
I have no idea what I'm listening to, I like the album cover so I'll rate it.
Although it doesn't appeal to me too much, it's a good album. Rather than the songs, I would say that the album cover is perfect.
I felt the same feeling while listening to Opeth's album Damnation. It has a very soft air overall. It is an album that I can open at midnight and listen to it from start to finish without skipping any of its songs.
When I listen to this album after their first two albums, in my opinion, it is too faint. While listening, I felt like a stranger, as if I was in a place where I didn't belong. However, the riff between 00.30 and 00.50 on the song "Believe" was one of the best things I've heard in a long time.
I don't have a musical understanding like that, "I'm about to cry because I can't hear guitar/drums!!". I even think that Steven indirectly continues to maintain his progressive stance. I had a pleasant time as new wave and synth wave is among my favorite genres after metal. The main idea, concept, lyrics; everything was okay, but there was still something missing. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the feeling, "That's it!".
Overall, I think it's on a similar level to their second album. Considering it's the band's debut album, it deserves a bit more points.
It's one of my zenith albums. I classically open this album when I feel depressed and melancholic. From start to finish, simply perfect.
Unfortunately, I think it was not successful. There were no songs that impressed me, except for the track "Dünya", which was instrumental. There was also a poor quality in the sound recording. The Metallica cover "Seek and Destroy", on the other hand, is -I think- unnecessary. Such a result after 10 years, disappointment..
The album started out exciting, but I lost some of that feeling in the sequel. I think Thornhill, Northlane and TesseracT are among the bands they get inspired. It resembled these groups in terms of vocal style, sound and guitar tone, which was a plus point for me.
Considering the year it was created, I think it's a quality album. I didn't feel a feeling of boredom for 1 hour while listening, but "from beginning to end" was the only two songs that excited me: Swallow the World, Plight of the Soul. A little above the middle.
The album is generally successful, but there are songs on a similar level with other artists similar to these. I didn't see anything extreme. I just felt that the first time I listened to the song "I'm Your Villain", it would become my obsession. This was nice.
I love all but 4 of the 11 songs on this album. Normally I should have given proportionally less points, but it was so amazing that I had to make an exception. In my opinion, one of the best albums of recent times.
