It felt like a rushed album full of unfinished ideas. Good ideas like interesting ideas, that just didn’t get fully implemented. What a jump. Insane work here. The pacing at the start of this album felt just a tad bit slow. However, all tracks here sound amazing and tell a dark and yet beautiful story. After this initial slower pacing I gotta say this album had me fully locked in and engaged and I had so much listening to this story.

This was a fun experience. It does exactly what I wanted from voice memos. While it does have great immersion some songs can come off sounding a bit more generic and kill the vibe. Overall this was very ambitious and had a lot more heart and soul than the previous record. It’s also more unique than most generic “emo” rap.
The moments where he was vulnerable and talked about himself were hard to take seriously given the bragadocious songs prior. I like some of the deeper topics but I wish he went more in depth with them in more creative ways. You can definitely see moments on this record here that are seeds for his future, more creative and vast projects.
