100% Porter's weakest album, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad by any means. Most of the songs were enjoyable, and there were a few I added to my “songs i like” playlist. "Nurture" and "SMILE! :D" will always be two of my favourite albums of all time, and "Worlds" whilst not the strongest album has some songs that I will come back to sometimes. But I’m sure everyone can agree this album is nowhere near on the same level as those two.
Jesus turned water into wine.
Quadeca turned water into album of the year.
There was just so much for me to love here. The energy and versatility had me hooked straight away. Danny constantly switches things up in a way that keeps it exciting but not losing it's momentum, and there were loads of features I’m already a fan of, like underscores, 8485, Quadeca, Jane Remover, and femtanyl, which made this record hit even more for me.
This album really shows that Danny Brown can’t be put in a box at all. He had a vision and did his own thing with some ... read more
There are a lot of good tracks here, but the album is stacked with too many "ok" songs. Only a select few really raise the bar. As a whole, the album feels a bit overloaded and can start to outstay its welcome. Overall, it’s a strong collection of tracks, just not as effective as a full album for me personally.
If I had to teach a 6 year old what is meant by a "classic". I would play them this album.
Nothing to add aside from this is one of the most amazing records to ever bless the human race. Thank you for coming, see you next week.
I’ve always thought Danny Brown seems like a cool person, and have respected him as an artist but I could never really get into his music until today. I really fucking liked this mixtape.
I think pretty much all of the songs are good, but tracks like “XXX,” “DNA,” and “30” really stand out. Danny shows a lot of versatility here, and I especially like how the album switches up in style and sound when“DNA" played. It really adds to the feeling ... read more
It was pretty good. I didn't personally love it but I can recognise the highs on here. I just think there was more mediocre songs then there was good.
You can feel the passion that went into this project. Also, demura leaving the album lore here was dope. Thank you for opening me up to more drum and bass.
Immaculate vibez, energy and just all round bangers. Starjunk fucking delivered here.
First drug bug record and I gotta say I was really shocked at how good this was. Really eased me in quick with that first song and it did not overstay it's welcome and neither did this whole album.
